25 Things You Didn't Know About Me

I love US Weekly.
I don't read it as much because now that I'm a married lady I actually have to buy groceries at the store not just magazines.
I love the "25 Things You Didn't Know About Me" when there they feature a different celebrity each week.
I always have US Weekly with me when I fly and I always think about what I would put in that section.

So, today I bring you… 25 Things You Didn't (probably) Know!

I broke my leg when I was two years old.  Jumping off a green turtle sandbox.  While holding my dad's hand.

If I could live anywhere it would be Dallas or Beverly Hills

In the future my husband and I want to "winter" in Beverly Hills or Newport Beach and rent a house for a month since we would never actually move

I got baptized, confirmed and married in the same church and now my husband goes there too

I studied hospitality and sports management in college and now work in real estate

I met my husband when I was 19.  Our first "official" date was 23

I went on my dream honeymoon with my husband to Tahiti and Bora Bora

I used to be able to drink anything and wake up without a hangover.  Now, not so much.

My parents have a vacation home in State College and we go to most of the Penn State football games. I love game days & Tailgates.

I took dance class from age three until my senior year of high school

When I got to college I didn't know how to boil water, now I love learning to cook and trying new recipes. I'm especially obsessed with Mexican.

Job I lust over are a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, Miss America, an ESPN reporter or E! New host

I'm completely obsessed with Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Making the Team.  I've seen every season.  A few times

My husband and I go to Dallas every fall for a cowboys game

I've been to Florida more times I can keep track of

I always buy fruit flavored mentor at the airport when I fly

I don't mind bagging the groceries at the grocery store, it's sort of like a puzzle getting everything in

Thursday is my favorite day of the week.  I love having the whole weekend to look forward to

I wish I was southern.  My mom grew up in the south and I love inheriting some of her southern qualities

I worked in minor league baseball for a year with the Phillies triple-a team

I'm obsessed with the Bachelor and the Bachelorette.

I love photography and taking pictures in general and as a way to "remember" life.  So many beautiful experiences that I don't want to forget

My family drove down to Nashville to get our dog, Nash.  That's how he got his name

I'm obsessed with Christmas.  Obsessed probably doesn't even cover it.  I start planning in October and December is filled with every Christmas activity possible and Christmas morning in my family is huge.
I'm actually obsessed with all holidays and celebrating big

I love traveling.  There's so many places to see.
I also love researching where to go and planning the trip.

Thought for Thursday

  1. I also love reading those posts in the mags! I enjoyed reading your list and boy do we have a lot of common "things". I can't remember all of them, but I'm obsessed with the DCC's too! Love the Bachelor/bachelorette, ENVIOUS of the honeymoon destination. I always said we should go there for our 10 year weddign anniversary but that's this FAll and I don't see that happening! lol

  2. Loved getting to know you a bit more! I also wish I was Southern (Northern VA doesn't count)--love so many of the etiquette and traditions of the South

  3. Loving all these fun facts about you! Tahiti and Bora Bora sound amaaaazing!! We are Bachelor/ Bachelorette fans over here too :)

  4. What a great post idea! Loved reading all of these. ESPN reporter is definitely a job that I lust over, too!

  5. I didn't know how to boil water either I swear! I eat a lot of bowls of cereal in college let me tell you ;-)

  6. This was fun! We also like the challenge of bagging groceries lol.

  7. I'm so glad you did this and I love the US weekly section of this post!! Your honeymoon destination was amazing!! I actually really like watching the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders making the team too! xo, Biana - BlovedBoston

  8. LOVE! Cheers to traveling, growing up in the same church for so many life stages...and for that DREAM DREAM DREAM honeymoon! EEE! xx

  9. hahaha the hangover one- yes ma'am so true! I love US weekly the most as well- fabulous post!!

  10. Yum, I love Mexican food, too. I'm actually headed to Dallas next week for a business trip. And aahhh I had one of those turtle sandboxes, too. That must have been so scary as a two year old! I love these types of posts - thanks for sharing :)

  12. So true about the hangovers! haha I am also obsessed with DCC Making the Team! Love it! Such a fun post!

  13. I just love that your church has such a special place in your heart. And it's so neat that your hubby goes there now! I grew up going to a super southern Baptist church and while I had good memories there, I so prefer the church that we currently attend since it's more non-denominational!

  14. oh girl! we are so alike!! I sometimes ONLY buy US Weekly for that section! I never wake up with hangovers..but I have a feeling it will catch up with me soon! Game day & tailgates are the best!!! Are you coming up for Blue & White?

  15. This comment has been removed by the author.

  16. I think it's wonderful that you have such a strong foundation & lasting memories in your home church. Now you will get to create new memories there with your husband. I'm obsessed with Christmas too! (Probably too much since my tree didn't get taken down until the start of February) Happy Friday, Christina!

  17. These are so fun! Your broken leg story made me laugh! I'm totally the same way with bagging groceries. Whenever they don't have a bagger for us, I always jump in there and am like "don't worry people, I've got this!" lol

  18. Loved getting to know you a little more! These posts are so much fun! Lots to comment on, so get ready - lol!

    1. Fruit mentos are the
    2. That is so cool about you grew up in one church and got to experience everything there.
    3. If you ever come to Dallas, let me know! I would love to meet up. Houston is not too far.
    4. The Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders are awesome! I used to watch that show when I was younger and had cable.
    5. Traveling is my favorite too!
    6. I am a picture taker too! I think it is a great way to capture the moment and things I will want to have later in life.
