When in Wayne {Weekending} + Giveaway!

Can you believe Memorial Day Weekend is NEXT weekend??
This was the perfect last weekend before the unofficial start to summer because everyone knows once those weekend schedules hit… the schedules get crazy!

Now, onto just a couple scenes from our weekend…

We tested out a new mexican restaurant, Matador in Wayne and then did a little outdoor shopping and exploring after.
We took full advantage of the outdoor sidewalk seating and the delicious margaritas - we may have found a new favorite lunch spot!
A long leisurely lunch, perfect weather and my favorite food/drink was the perfect way to spend an afternoon!
 We've been to Wayne a few times and have been meaning to better explore it - it's the town next to ours (my hometown is on the other side so we are prone to just going there).  We've been wanting to just walk and explore and really enjoyed our day and are excited to continue embracing the area.

We finally made it to the flower nursery down the street from our house and I was in heaven! All the flowers were so beautiful and while we don't want to plant any flowers this year since our neighborhood is still under construction, we found some great potted plants.  I have a feeling that we'll most definitely be back to add to our outdoor display this summer.
We added a little bit of color to our upper back deck and front entryway - better some than none :)

A pedicure and reading up on the royal family is one of my favorite relaxing weekend activities.

We had a very fun night out on Friday night so Saturday afternoon/evening we decided to enjoy our deck and grill… until some rain showers and thunderstorms hit so we quickly switched to enjoying our basement bar, whipped up a pitcher of strawberry margaritas and ditched the grilling meats for one of our light dinner favorites… the cheese plate!
{More on cheese plates and our favorites soon}

Now onto the fun part!
Today I'm joining along with some of my favorite
bloggy friends and we are giving away a pair of
the gorgeous teeny tortoise stud earrings from
chloe & isabel! These are the CUTEST studs
(I might have to order a pair for myself)!

If you haven't heard of chloe & isabel before or just want to learn some more head over to Meagan's blog to read an interview with her friend Laura, who is a chloe & Isabel boutique owner and shares a bunch of great information!
