Life & Looks Lately {3}

Halfway through this dragging week and hopefully the heatwave breaks today! I'm seeing some full sunny skies and lower temperatures later this week so I sure am looking forward to that.  Let's take a peak at a couple glimpses of recent life around here.

We had a string of some gorgeous weather days - I couldn't be happier than being on the deck, skimming on my iPad and sipping a glass of wine.

Stella really has no boundaries of space in the morning but I don't mind her cuddles.  Little miss loves relaxing in our bed as much as I do.

One of my favorite Dining Under the Stars spots is Dos Gringos, a mexican place where you bring the tequila and they supply your mix.  It's not my favorite mexican spot but I enjoy it because I'd most likely not eat inside the very small restaurant during the winter season and how fun is it to mix your own drinks.

Just before Fourth of July we knew we were going to be at the game all night because of the fireworks so we went to the upper deck bar before dinner and then going to our seats - always a fun view up here.

Dog, a blog and taking in a view… I find so much peace sitting out here and relaxing - come fall I feel like this is going to be a great space to enjoy the cooler nights.

Speaking of my favorite spot - unless it's been raining, we've eaten every dinner out here - even in the higher than usual temperatures - I keep telling Derek that come the winter, we'll really miss it.  We do the occasional happy hour here too.

Last week we got a treat for Dining Under the Stars - one of my best friend's Bianca stopped by our house for the night on her way back home and got to come with us.  We also got to go to one of my favorite places after being rained out a couple weeks ago.  Clams in a pizza bowl - my favorite!

I love my afternoon walks with Stella - it's nice to get out in the fresh air and take a little break.  We've also been trying to walk her in the morning and at night to help her eating the carpet issue.

The other day it was the definition of a perfect summer night so I knew we had to ditch our dinner plans and enjoy some mexican food and a margaria al fresco.

We stopped at the Fresh Market on the way home to get a little sweet snack (cookie dough cafe - yum!) and some fresh flowers - they always have the best deals.

Monday we had Hall of Fame tickets for the Phillies instead of our regular - thank goodness we were in air conditioning most of the night - it was in the 90's - so I skipped the Men Tell All and sipped a highly refreshing cold beer with Derek, my parents and brother.

And what's been new with the littlest gal of the blog…

Just helping out with a blog post, trying to get in on a work out, dropping her dad off at the train, trying to get out of the heat and playing on top of all her toys - her favorite spot!

  2. The dining outdoors sounds like fun--Ive never heard of a place that had bring your own tequila! Too bad you're not the biggest fan of their food, but oh well! Just drink! :)
    I've been loving our deck space as well--its such a nice, peaceful place to relax and read, spend time together or enjoy time with friends. The deck has definitely become a favorite space in our house for me too :)

  17. Looks like you guys are having the ideal summer! I envy your ability to just have so much fun and enjoy everything all the time - with Ryan's work schedule and my family a few hours away, that makes it difficult around here. Loving all your clothes, as usual, and Miss Stella just has the cutest little personality. I'm convinced her and Finn would be BFFs.

  29. Okay I loved all of these pics but I'm seriously DYING over that cookie dough. Ever since you posted about it a few months ago, I made sure to make a special trip to our Fresh Market (and one in another town over) to find some. Much to my dismay..boo....they didn't carry it. I really it in my life! I may look online and see if they ship! :)

  30. So fun! We were at the Phillies game last weekend and we were in the lower level seats and I wanted to venture up to the top to enjoy the view for a bit! The ballpark was EMPTY since they're having a tough season. :) Hope you're having a good week!
