The Beverly Hills Hotel

After our wine morning we switched to our final stop of the trip, Beverly Hills.  We stopped here on the way to our honeymoon and have gone back ever since.  This year we decided to switch from where we usually stay and do The Beverly Hills Hotel mainly because it was in a great area for morning walks and the pool was over double the size of the Beverly Wilshire.  The hotel didn't disappoint, I mean just look at the wall papering below.  Plus it's a favorite of the celebrities so we were always setting famous faces.

It's no surprise that we headed straight for the pool to get some sun, enjoy a "think pink" and cool off in the water.

We had early dinner reservations at The Nice Guy and shared a few things before grabbing a drink at The Polo Lounge at the hotel to finish off the night.

We kicked off Wednesday with a nice long walk in the neighborhoods surrounding the hotels which had some great houses to view and grabbed some breakfast at The Polo Lounge for a reward.

The hotel sent up a bottle of champagne so we enjoyed a drink on the balcony and leisurely got ready for a day at the pool.  One of our favorites from previous visits is the Cabana Cafe so for a break from the sun we split a sandwich for lunch and passed Derek Jeter as we were finishing up.  I love the upper deck area because sometimes after a while in the sun it's nice to have a shaded outdoor area to continue relaxing.

We were getting dinner at Katsuya over in Hollywood Wednesday night so we decided to head over late afternoon to take a peek at the Hollywood sign and walk around a bit.  We hadn't been since before our honeymoon during our layover and I think we were there all of five minutes before getting to dinner early.  I'm not sure if there is any place more touristy than this and the crowds just aren't for us!

  6. I'm still kind of sad that I've never seen a celebrity when we've visited LA. Obviously we need to stay at the Beverly Hills Hotel though, and it might be a different story! And you're totally right about Hollywood being so packed! I think that once is enough times for me!

  12. I used to work on Hollywood Blvd and the crowds are INSANE! It's cool to see it at least once, but super overwhelming. But Katsuya is worth the crazy people :)
